WiSys helps researchers and innovators from the statewide 11 four-year comprehensive campuses identify innovative technologies and bring them to the marketplace. To achieve this, last year alone WiSys awarded over $600,000 in grant funds across the UW system. This led to 64 innovations disclosed to WiSys and 12 patents issued. WiSys seeks an administrative assistant to support internal stakeholders with a variety of administrative needs such as calendar management, document editing and tracking, data entry, file management, preparing correspondence, assisting with internal and external communications and assisting with special projects.
Ideal candidates will possess exceptional customer service, a high level of accuracy, and strong attention to detail. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and must be able to multitask and prioritize, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and work in a collaborative team environment. Prior administrative and customer-service experience, proficiency with a variety of computer software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), and familiarity with databases are preferred. Ideal candidates will possess at least 1-3 years of administrative experience. The ideal work schedule for this position is 15-16 hours per week with preferred schedules of Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. including a one-hour lunch break.
